The Song - Good-bye (slow or fast)

I wrote this song when my relationship had seem to take a turn for the worse.

We sometimes become complacent in our space and expect others to conform after already giving so much without any longer being met even half-way.That soon you come to grips with well, I guess this is good-bye.

Goodbye

Verse 1
I've tried to please you
Done all you've asked of me
Tried to see it your way
Even when I couldn't see
Still it's not enough for you
No matter what I do
Seems we're at an end
Nothing left to try or say
So I guess we're through

Chorus
Do I want to leave? No.
Do I want you to go? No
But it takes more than one to try
I can't keep seeing me cry
You can't expect more from me
Than I've already tried
I rather see us happy apart
So I guess this is goodbye

Verse 2
I guess what they say is true
Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars
Cause we can't see eye to eye
and we keep breaking each others heart
growing apart every second
Using words as daggers and weapons
Can't keep co- nnec-ting
I guess it's goodbye

Chorus
Do I want to leave? No.
Do I want you to go? No
But it takes more than one to try
I can't keep seeing me cry
You can't expect more from me
Than I've already tried
I rather see us happy apart
So I guess this is goodbye

The Song - True Love

Hey everyone: It's been a minute since I've been around but I wanted to share a little something with you. Since you've been on my blog, you've been around enough to know that I'm a writer. You know that I'm not just a writer. It's who I am. I feel as though I can write anything, if I get the chance to glance at it and/or learn a little bit about it. So with that said, you should know that I write poetry, articles, short stories, essays and more. But in regard to the more, is what I will start to unveil. I've been a song-writer since the age of fourteen as well as a lyricist but neither were my dreams to pursue, just the writing part of it. I've dabbled with them two on and off for years. I even have a few songs out on contracts in case they are ever used, and as far as being lyricist, I even have a whole album, that I never put out. However I'm still in love with my lyrics and they are still relevant today. Today, I just felt like sharing...
